Surgery centers and OR turnover support
Charleston has a growing population of ambulatory surgery centers — orthopedic, ophthalmology, GI, plastic surgery, and pain management — across the peninsula and Mt. Pleasant. These facilities require terminal cleaning at end-of-day plus, in some cases, between-case turnover support during operating hours.
Our terminal cleaning protocol covers the full operative suite: tables, lights, anesthesia equipment surfaces, casework, walls to a defined height, floors with appropriate cleaner-disinfectant, and proper waste segregation. Between-case turnover (when contracted) follows AORN-aligned procedures with strict time targets so the surgical schedule isn’t delayed.
Dialysis, infusion, and imaging — different protocols, same standards
Dialysis centers along the MUSC corridor and in West Ashley require attention to chair-station cleaning between patients, water-treatment area sanitation, and bloodborne-pathogen handling. Our dialysis protocol uses dedicated color-coded supplies for chair stations and follows CDC/CMS environmental cleaning guidance for outpatient dialysis.
Infusion centers (oncology, rheumatology, GI) require similar care for chair stations, plus particular attention to chemotherapy spill protocols and immunocompromised-patient considerations. Imaging centers — MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography — require specific cleaning chemistry that won’t damage sensitive equipment surfaces and won’t leave residue that interferes with imaging.
Infection control documentation
Charleston facilities subject to AAAHC, AAAASF, Joint Commission, or CMS oversight require documented environmental cleaning programs. We provide detailed cleaning logs, written protocols, EPA List N product registrations with SDS, dwell-time documentation, and staff training records. When inspectors ask for environmental services documentation, the answer should never be a scramble.
We also coordinate with infection prevention staff on outbreak response — including post-MRSA, post-C. diff, and post-norovirus deep cleans — using bleach-based sporicidal protocols where indicated.
